A Holistic and Integrative Approach to Healing
Among my firmly held beliefs is that we all possess an innate impulse for healing — within each of us we have exactly what we need to get there. The intention of the work I engage in is to help clients reconnect with this inner strength and knowing.
This belief, coupled with training and experience, has meant bearing witness to awe-inspiring transformations in clients and their families.
I utilize a holistic and integrative approach to healing which uses several different therapies to engage all the areas that can be afflicted by negative states. Supplementing traditional psychotherapy with other methods, such as energy and somatic work, often allows clients to gently unblock the emotional and physical tensions in their bodies with more ease than utilizing talk therapy alone. In my experience I have found that utilizing such an integrative model leads to faster positive changes in one’s life, relationships, and overall well-being.
In all cases I work collaboratively with the client to choose the best options and techniques for them and their situations.
I make it a priority to listen to, support and encourage my clients, but also challenge them to find their inner strengths and power. I am an understanding, creative and collaborative therapist, and I make sure my office atmosphere is always comfortable, warm and inviting.
On a more personal note, I enjoy growing a personal practice of mindfulness meditation which has meant engaging with myself, other humans, and the world-at-large in a deeper and more meaningful way.
